Sparty Party My A&$

Woohoo,Big Blue wins another against MSU,luckily the couches in East Lansing are spared for another year.

My advice to Sparty and their fans was said best by Eric Cartman,"Respect My Authoritah!".

You had to give Big Blue some love, and all is well in Wolverine Nation.

What time does the MSU Athletes Malt Liquor stealing contest sponsored by Quality Dairy begin after the game ?.

Baahaa hey Sparty, come see Big Blue when you can back up all the smack that you spewed this week before the game.

I'm out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But hey, after the game I did create http://www.birchrunclassof1985.com for my classmates.

Summer over............... Almost

Can you believe it ?

Summer is almost over,Little Steve is at school,3rd grade already.
I'm anxious,always have loved fall,messing around with friends,when I was school age,football,etc.

I still cannot believe that 20 yrs ago,I was just graduated from high school, and now the things these kids have now days.

I spent my high school open house money on a cassette car stereo for my graduation gift from parents,(1985 Chevy Cavalier)and now satellite radio in cars.

Shameless plug,I know, with the Sirius Satellite Radio ad on my main page, but damnit,20 yrs ago cassette radios,CD's were in infant stage, and now this.

Great days we are living in.

And are we having a 20 yr reunion or not?

New Year,February already..............

What a day

Wow,it's Monday August 30,2004.
Long day here, work and family duties, along with working on steveduncanonline.com.
I'm a Democrat,so nothing on the news channels tonight, damn Republican convention, thank goodness for digital cable, typical Monday night fare on the tube.
Watched some football, some sports news, and First Blood was on,after 20 years I still can watch it,love those 80's flashbacks.
I'm a sucker for the 80's,I do hope my high school class has a 20 year reunion,ah the days of high school,a much simpler time, lol.
Skinamax (Cinemax late night) was playing their typical late night movies,so I listened to the Music Choice channels,I do have weird tastes in music, went from negro oldies to hip hop now,and to think I put down my relatives music when in school, complaining about the "old music",now I'm guilty I'm listening to it now.

Steve........a husband and a father ?

Every day I look at my family, and I say "WOW",I feel grateful and blessed being married and a father.
When I was in high school and a few years after,I vowed never to get married,or be a father,I figured I would coast as a bachelor, after all in school,I was tall, not dashing and stood out in a croud, like a sore thumb..
But I met a great lady Michelle, she's italian which means she's born to cook.
She has put up with me for 7 years, most ladies in high school could not put up with me for 7 minutes, lol.
All my friends love coming over for dinner, because she sets one hell of a spread.
Meeting her evolved into parenthood,on October 6,1997 Little Steve was born.
I'm like "damn",married and a son,reality has set in.
We had our struggles, newlyweds and eventually parents.
But I'm blessed to have both of them, and to think 20 years ago,I never thought I'd be married.
People say they can see the pride in our faces, when the family is together,I appreciate that,it's flattering, and it's a joy I never take for granted.

Steve......... a writer ?

I figure I will join the many people on the internet who creates online journals or "weblogs".
During the next couple weeks, the process will begin slowly,I feel that those of you,who visit should at least know about the writer, you probably don't want to know about me,but hey, sometimes you got to do things you don't want to do,lol.
Here in Saginaw,Michigan is where my family and myself resides,my wife Michelle and son Stephen, keep me on my toes and running around with errands,school,etc...........
I work at a hospital here in Saginaw, after 18 years of retail work,I figured I'd get a "real" job,at least I don't have to worry about 30 day exchanges or returns.
My son is 6 but everyone thinks he's 9 or 10,those of you who know me will know where I'm coming from, after all I'm a tall guy, lol.
With my son starting the 2nd grade at St. Paul's Lutheran School,it's fun seeing the kids go to school, and with that I apologize to my parents for all the torment I gave them, when in school.
I thought I was a "good kid" but being a parent,I know better now.
And to think,I used to enjoy getting up at dawn, but then again,I was probably just coming home.
My son is up at 5 am,wanting to play on the computer, and yes computers can be good for kids,Stephen has seen a huge increase in hand-eye coordination since he has used the computer, the video game Nascar 3 for the PC is a must, try driving at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The game will test your patience along with eye-hand skills.
Stephen can avoid wrecks and even win races,in such a tough enviroment.
Kids nowdays have it good with the PC,and damn,Steve had the ATARI,now it's games that put YOU in the game.If I would have known, during my report on the CD player,in Mrs. Davis' Consumer Ed class during my senior year in high school.
I'll continue next time, with more on my family, and answer the question you must all be asking,"Who would Marry Steve Duncan" ? lol
Until next time......................... Steve
